Pallavi Maam's Note of Thanks

THANKS GIVING (ENIGMA ‘08)
(this is what Diva has to say)
‘The winds blow and calm down,
But the ripple on the water surface persist.
The coal burns and withers away,
But the warmth in the furnace persist.
Friends bid farewell and leave,
But their memories in our hearts persist.
Persist with us always….’
As I’m here to pen down (oops! I mean to type) some lines about Enigma ’08, I’m deeply conscious of the honour, and I’m grateful to each one of you for the trust and confidence that you have reposed in me by making me a co-ordinator of this event. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude towards the Management and faculty members of UGI specially to Mr Gaurav Gulati, Mrs Paroma M. Gulati, Mr. Vivek Srivastava and Mr. Ajay Sharma for their guidance and support.
Now before I write any more formal stuff and land up risking my life, I would like to let my readers know that I have been instructed at gunpoint to “make this as peppy as possible”. So before I land up apologizing to ‘Techno’(oops! I mean technical students…) or getting stabbed by ‘a Khanjer’, I’ll suavely follow the instructions. I’ll have to admit that this consists more of leg pulling than any formal thank you note to anyone.
To start with the final year students, that is my batchmates. Although I didn’t get an opportunity to interact with some of them, but they truly deserve all the praising and applaud. To make it more clear they are-Alpana, Ani, Ayushi, Sneha, Pallavi, Apoorv, Ankur Kesarvani, Sachindra, Pallav, Shobhit, Rahul, Vibhav, Ankur Gupta, Prateek, Abhishek, Mayank, Priyanshu, Arvind, Saurabh. All I have to say is that you guys/gals are incredibly, amazingly, uniquely fresh and being around you makes me feel like a garden full of sunny white daisies (daisies are said to be the friendliest flowers).
Reverting back to the summer of ‘69(Oh! I mean October of ‘08) I clearly remember our campaigning at UIT and UCEM when we almost collided with a cycle in our fervor of bike racing and also got to know that some people can be nasty enough(like denying someone a cup of coffee and cold drink) and at the same time asking everyone for ‘beverage’(dealer 1’s pickup line). But why talk about someone else, when I myself became nasty by denying someone the right to his own laptop(Khuda Jaane!!!).
Can’t forget our official meetings in which we spent half of the time looking for the members and the rest in chiding them for their absence. And ofcourse our everyday photo shoots where ‘matrimonial.com’ was the leading model(hail!!!dealer 2).Undoubtedly the credit goes to ‘Heera Moti Men’s parlour’. As the time for the final test came closer we almost converted our conference hall into a CCD where important decisions and clues were made over a cup of coffee/tea and ofcourse Samosa as well.
Not to forget that the day scholars got a varied choice of conveyance after the whole day hard work, that is from bus, truck, car (our Scorpio which by chance took us home and not hospital), bike(hail! Dealer 3) and even an ambulance and that is how we girls got the celebrity status in Enigma. A special thank you to my Choreography team which was more of a ‘disaster management unit’ and not to mention the disaster that we managed so well on stage(hail!!! Management). Definitely a word of thanks must go to the ones who planned the schedule for the main stage and wrote the articles to be published in the newspaper. I guess I have already taken a lot of trouble on myself and its high time to roll back with a premonition.
Now coming to my very dear juniors namely- Parul, Ankita, Astha, Rahul, Bageshwar, Nakul, Altamash, Piyush, Mridul, Sumit, Pradeep, Rishi, what comes to my mind is that it is because of you people that we seniors are still alive and active in the college. On behalf of all the seniors(I hope I haven’t offended anyone) I would like to say that you people are our pacemakers, giving us those impulses to act. Your incessant chatter and crazy jokes warm the heart like a box full of French chocolates. In this 3 and a ½ years of college life I have been having a gala time playing pranks and teasing my batchmates. But for the first time I met a group of juniors who dared to ‘bully’ their seniors to such an extent that you made me think a zillion times if I was a junior or a senior to u guys.
Leaving aside all the jokes you people are truly an amalgamation of an assortment of qualities. To mention some of them in here, the very first instance that made me feel that its high time to roll up our sleeves, get up and actually do something was, “ma’am hum log jehadi hai!” Campaigning with juniors at final year classes and other colleges was fun and the cherry over the cake was our treat at IERT where we were promoted to the post of faculty members of UCER. Some of the over enthusiastic chaps happened to rupture their muscle and bone by colliding with a buffalo(hail! HRM team). I’m obliged to bag the titles of “coolest senior”, “friendly senior” and ofcourse the world famous statements in UCER- “ma’am koi tension nahi.Koi bhi bad elements aaye to aap hume bula lijiyega. Hum sambhal lenge” and “aap apne juniors ko bhool to nahi jaenge???”. Some statements that made us proud- “this guy is living Enigma since twenty days”, “arre yaar! There is a shortage of forms”, “you guys/gals in black are looking great”, “the students managed the events so well” and lots more.
A special thankyou to the Rudra band (oops!! I mean Rudra-a-a) for adding music, dance, fun and frolic to Enigma. My essay(as it appears to me) would be incomplete without mentioning the ‘HHH’ songs that were being dedicated at the main stage and our special evening meetings near Pal ji’s food court where CBI reports were discussed over a plate of chowmein and fried rice. Moreover a formal thank you again to the staff of Tamarind Tree(our party venue) who tolerated us for so long and the ‘special’ photo session that was conducted there.
Ending up!!!(I’m sure my readers, ‘if any’ have taken a sigh of relief). No matter how much I tease you, I can assure you that your spontaneity, exuberance and creativity has left us spellbound. You people were like tranquilizers in tough times. Although in close to six months we will cease to be a part of this institution, but I can promise one thing that whenever in need you will find us right behind you sometimes with a helping hand and at other times with a stick if you compel us to. I’m sure you’ll make all of us proud by adding more feathers to the already loaded cap of UGI. Thank you to all of you.
God bless you!!!

A message of Thanks from ALTAMASH MOIN

Dear frn's

Just i am writing this to shower my heartiest thanks to all those persons
who had worked a lot for enigma and gave their wonderful ideas for the
promotion and establishment of Enigma'08

What we guys think that we people are krantikaari's & we have to ignite the
ideas to revolutionize the system.

The fire for tech-fest in the krantikaari's mind is ignited in the first week of August
& it is the eve of 25 oct. when you people are looking on ashes..

Now, my thanks list starts from Bageshwar Pratap Narain & Nakul jain,
I love to remember the moments when we three are too much buzy in making
plans in my room & roamed a lot around the office of administration of "*UNITED
GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS*" regarding the permissions of techfest .

Me and nakul loafed a lot in allahabad city & killed our Dusshera's holidays for
looking up the sponser's for Enigma'08 & me and Bageshwar travelled like
Shahrukh of Swades for the promotion of Enigma'08 in Lko. & Knp.
Thanks to Rahul Uttam for joining us in kanpur.

Apoorv sir and Shobhit sir are really a great person, Inspite of being a senior
they always gives respect to our decisions & ideas and without our fantabulous
team work may be it was not possible to give a successful Enigma'08

Now time to give thanks to Pallavi ma'am who had joined me in the promotional
programme of Enigma'08 in Allahabad.

A special thanks to Rahul Saini, Himanshu Tripathi, Sumit Srivastava & Piyush for
the extravaganza of centre-stage.

Thanks to Astha Srivastava & all the ma'am's of final year for their laborious work.

How can i forget to appreciate Mr. Baghi for his wonderful work of www.enigma08.com
and for developing a nice software for the events- Asmanjas & Coderix.

A big thanks to the guys of "*RUDRA-BAND*" for their rocking live performance-
the day is not so far when you people will got the opportunity to release your music
album under the banner of a reputed music company (& then apne is bhaiyaa ko
bhulna mat)

A special & great thanks to our sponsors like ::-
(1) Anurag Khare of BIG92.7 FM.
(2) Karamjeet Kaur of VETA
(3) Asif of Career Launcher.

All the above persons of respected companies and institutes are really great personalities
& hoping to strong the bond of relationship between "*UNITED GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS*"
& these companies through our further positive deals and negotiations.

Finally , A great salute with a feeling of respect to Gaurav Gulati SIr, Paroma ma'am ,
Vivek Srivastava sir,Ajay Sharma sir, Sanjay sir, Nidhi Chandra ma'am & all the jury
member's of ENigma'08 for their great support.

Insha-Allah , the day is not so far when the enigma of "*UGI*" will stand along with the reputated
techfest's of INDIA like Effervescense,Avishkar,Kashi-yatra,Tech-kriti and so on of IIIT's, NIT's
& IIT's

Best Of Luck team & Best Of Work for ENigma'09

Finally, I can BREATH !!!

ROME was not built in a day,
Neither was ENIGMA 08.
Well, this post onwards I will start a "Dastaan-e-Agaaz" of ENIGMA08.

It dates back to the first week of August, and we had a power cut in the Hostel. Nakul came to me and dodged the idea of organising a techfest in the college.

I can very surely call this the Start of the Saga

Final countdown

Today was supposed to be the final day of preparation for ENIGMA08.
The opening ceremony which was to be held today was postponed due to some unavoidable reasons.
Still, my job was quite complete today, and all the labs have been setup, for the purpose.

Another day of Hectic work !!!

It was a real tough day today.
Had to setup all the computer labs in the campus.
I am welcoming some 800 add students to give the Online Test on a mere 75 KAMZOR machines.
